About Sarah

Sarah is a 21 year old emerging mezzo-soprano from Switzerland studying at Royal Northern College of Music with Elizabeth Ritchie as an undergraduate.

Sarah is a 2026 Fellowship Artist with Opera For Peace where she will sing scenes as Mercedes in Carmen and Dryade in Ariadne Auf Naxos and National Opera Studio 25/26 Academy where she sang scenes as Third Lady in Die Zauberflöte, Annio in La Clemenza Di Tito and Bradamante in Alcina.

Other scene repertoire includes Baba The Turk in Rake’s Progress, Madame de la Haltière in Cendrillon, Dorabella in Cosi Fan Tutte and Marina in Il Burbero Di Buon Cuore at the RNCM.

 

At the RNCM, Sarah’s role repertoire includes Lapák in The Cunning Little Vixen, Sméraldine in L'Amour des Trois Oranges, Owl (cover) in The Cunning Little Vixen, Koukouli (cover) in L'étoile, and Beth Slater in the world premiere of Pearson's Silverwood. Other roles include Bradamante in Alcina with Sweet Treat Opera and Zweite Knabe in Die Zauberflöte with Berlin Opera Academy.

In 2025, Sarah joined Grange Park Opera to sing in the choruses of Verdi’s Simon Boccanegra, Tchaikovsky’s Mazeppa, Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, and in the world premiere of Khan’s Taj Mahal.

 

Sarah appears regularly as a soloist on the concert platform with international engagements and a keen interest in song.Recent and upcoming concert performances include Elgar’s Sea Pictures (Yerevan Youth Orchestra, Italy) and Juliana Hall’s A World Turned Upside Down (Lerici Music Festival, Italy).Other concert repertoire has included Handel’s Messiah with Tallis Consort, and soloist appearances with Hallè Orchestra and Orchestra OperaViva.

 

A passionate collaborative singer, Sarah has also won the Brodsky Prize and is a finalist of the 2026 Chris Rowland Prize for Chamber Music at the RNCM singing Brahms’ 2 Gesange.
