About Sarah

Sarah is a 21 year old mezzo-soprano from Switzerland currently studying at Royal Northern College of Music with Elizabeth Ritchie as an undergraduate and is part of the 2025/2026 National Opera Studio Academy.

 

Her operatic repertoire includes Lapak (The Cunning Little Vixen/RNCM), Sméraldine (L'Amour des

Trois Oranges/RNCM), Zweite Knabe (Die Zauberflöte/Berlin Opera Academy),

Koukouli (L'étoile - cover / RNCM), Papagena (Die Zauberflöte - cover / Berlin Opera Academy), and Beth Slater in the world premiere of Pearson's Silverwood (RNCM Community Opera) well as scenes as Dorabella in (Cosi Fan Tutte/RNCM) and Marina (Il Burbero Di Buon Cuore/RNCM)

 

As a concert soloist, Sarah has appeared with Hallé Orchestra, Tallis Consort, Orchestra Opera Viva, and at the Lerici Music Festival with Opera for Peace with most notable performances including a solo recital of Julianna Hall’s A World Turned Upside Down (Lerici Music Festival) and Handel’s Messiah (Tallis Consort). Passionate about song repertoire, Sarah also sings with the RNCM Songsters.

 

As an ensemble singer, Sarah has sung in the chorus with Grange Park Opera in Verdi’s Simon Boccanegra, Tchaikovsky’s Mazeppa, Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, and in the world premiere of Khan’s Taj Mahal.

Choral engagements include those with the RNCM Chamber Choir and Tallis Choral Foundation.
