Sarah is a 21 year old mezzo-soprano/contralto from Switzerland currently studying at Royal Northern College of Music with Elizabeth Ritchie as an undergraduate.

 

Sarah’s role repertoire includes roles such as Smeraldine (L’Amour Des Trios Oranges/RNCM), Beth Slater (Silverwood/RNCM Community Opera), and Zwiete Knabe (Die Zauberflöte/Berlin Opera Academy), as well as covers as Carmen (La Tragedie De Carmen/Lerici Music Festival), Koukouli (L’Etoile/RNCM), and Papagena (Die Zauberflöte/Berlin Opera Academy) and scenes as Dorabella (Cosi Fan Tutte/RNCM).

Professionally, Sarah performed with Grange Park Opera in the chorus of their 2025 season which included works such as Simon Boccanegra, Mazeppa, Madama Butterfly, and a world premiere of Nishat Khan’s Taj Mahal.

 

In concert, Sarah has been a soloist with Tallis Consort and Orchestra OperaViva performing works such as the Messiah and looks forward to debuting with Halle Orchestra in fall 2025.

Sarah performs widely as a recitalist, singing in solo and collaborative programs, most notably joining Lerici Music Festival in 2024 for a solo recital of Juliana Hall’s A World Turned Upside Down and coming back in 2025 for a devised concert with emerging artists from Opera for Peace.

 

As an ensemble singer, Sarah joins the 25/26 Hallè Choir and often performs with other choirs such as the RNCM Chamber Choir and Tallis Consort.
